Day 01: Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve
Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you travel north across the equator to the wild landscapes of Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy your first afternoon game drive, watching for the “Samburu Special Five” the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx. Settle into your lodge overlooking the Ewaso Nyiro River as the African night comes alive with distant calls of the wild.
Day 02: Samburu - Full Day Game Drive & Cultural Visit
Spend the day exploring Samburu’s striking terrain on morning and afternoon game drives. Between safaris, visit a Samburu village to experience their unique traditions, vibrant beadwork, and warm hospitality. The connection between culture and wilderness here is deeply inspiring a reminder of how people and nature coexist in balance.
Day 03: Samburu to Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, travel to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, home to endangered species and innovative conservation projects. Visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya to see rescued chimps, and meet the world’s last remaining Northern white rhinos under expert protection. An afternoon game drive brings close encounters with lions, elephants, and rhinos before settling in for the night.
Day 04: Ol Pejeta to Lake Nakuru National Park
Journey south to the scenic Lake Nakuru National Park, famed for its pink-hued flamingo flocks and thriving rhino population. Enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge, spotting buffaloes, giraffes, and sometimes elusive leopards among the acacia trees. The shimmering lake at sunset makes for a photographer’s dream.
Day 05: Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, drive across the Great Rift Valley to the world-renowned Maasai Mara. Arrive in time for lunch and embark on your first Mara game drive vast savannahs dotted with wildlife as far as the eye can see. Your evening is spent in the heart of Africa’s most famous wilderness.
Day 06: Maasai Mara - Full Day Safari & Maasai Village Visit
Today, enjoy a full day in the Maasai Mara, where every game drive tells a new story from majestic lions on the hunt to herds of elephants roaming peacefully. Visit a Maasai village to learn about their time-honored culture and traditions. Optional: start your day with a hot-air balloon safari followed by a champagne breakfast in the wild (available on request).
Day 07: Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, journey to the tranquil Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake teeming with birdlife. Enjoy a boat ride among hippos and fish eagles, followed by a guided walk or cycling adventure in Hell’s Gate National Park, where towering cliffs and geothermal activity create a dramatic landscape.
Day 08: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
Drive south to Amboseli National Park, famed for its iconic views of Mount Kilimanjaro and large herds of free-roaming elephants. Arrive in time for an evening game drive, with the backdrop of Africa’s highest peak glowing in the sunset
Day 09: Amboseli- Full Day Safari
Spend the day exploring Amboseli’s open plains and marshes on morning and afternoon game drives. Watch as elephants wander gracefully across the dusty plains and spot lions, cheetahs, and countless birds. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful sundowner as Kilimanjaro’s snow-capped peak reveals itself.
Day 10: Amboseli to Tsavo West National Park
After breakfast, journey to Tsavo West, a park known for its volcanic hills, lava flows, and Mzima Springs a crystal-clear oasis where hippos and crocodiles thrive. Explore this rugged terrain on a game drive and soak in the untamed beauty of Kenya’s largest ecosystem.
Day 11: Tsavo West to Tsavo East National Park
Continue your adventure into Tsavo East, home to the famous red elephants and sweeping wilderness landscapes. Enjoy a leisurely game drive en route to your lodge, spotting lions, leopards, and graceful antelopes. The stillness of the park offers an authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience.
Day 12: Tsavo East to Diani Beach (SGR Train Transfer)
This morning, board the SGR train to Mombasa and transfer to Diani Beach, Kenya’s coastal paradise. Check into your beach resort and unwind under swaying palms as the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean invite you to relax and rejuvenate.
Day 13: Diani Beach -Leisure & Optional Activities
Spend the day at leisure swim, snorkel, or take a dhow cruise to explore nearby marine sanctuaries. Optional excursions include visits to Wasini Island, diving with dolphins, or simply soaking in the serenity of the coast. The day is yours to enjoy as you wish.
Day 14: Diani to Nairobi & Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Mombasa SGR terminus for your journey back to Nairobi. Connect with your international flight home, carrying memories of untamed beauty, warm encounters, and a deeper connection to Kenya’s heart.
