TOUR ACTIVITIES
Day 01: Arrival in Nairobi
Your journey begins the moment you land in Nairobi. A warm welcome awaits as you are transferred to your hotel, where you can settle in after your flight. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a gentle evening at leisure—perhaps a quiet dinner overlooking the city lights or a short nature walk within the lodge grounds. The adventure starts tomorrow, but tonight is for rest and anticipation.
Day 02: Nairobi → Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, you depart north for the rugged landscapes of Samburu. As the terrain shifts from Nairobi’s greenery to arid, ochre-toned hills, you feel your spirit leaning into wilderness. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive. Elephants make graceful processions along the Ewaso Nyiro River, and the unique wildlife of this region starts to show itself. End the day with sunset tea and dinner under the open sky.
Day 03: Full Day in Samburu
Today is devoted to exploring the wild north. Morning and afternoon game drives introduce you to the rare Samburu Special Five—the unmistakable Grevy’s zebra, elegant reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx, and the long-necked gerenuk. Between drives, enjoy downtime at the lodge, where the stillness of Samburu seems to slow the world. After dusk, gather around the fire to listen to stories shared by Samburu warriors—tales of heritage, survival, and deep connection to the land.
Day 04: Cultural Immersion & Samburu Wilderness
Begin with an early morning game drive, then return for a late breakfast. Later, visit a Samburu village to learn how traditional lifestyles harmonize with the changing world. Participate in dance, beadwork demonstrations, and conversations with elders. The afternoon is open for leisure or an optional guided nature walk. As evening falls, the surrounding hills glow red—an iconic Samburu sunset—followed by dinner under a star-filled sky.
Day 05: Samburu → Ol Pejeta Conservancy
After breakfast, travel south to the green, wildlife-rich plains of Ol Pejeta Conservancy. Arrive in time for lunch and a relaxing afternoon before setting out on a game drive. Ol Pejeta is home to the Big Five and the inspiring rhino conservation program that protects threatened northern white rhinos. In the evening, the conservancy’s cool breeze, sweeping plains, and crystal skies create a serene atmosphere perfect for unwinding.
Day 06: Chimpanzee Sanctuary & Wildlife Encounters in Ol Pejeta
Start your day with a visit to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, where rescued chimps live in a safe, rehabilitated environment. Their intelligence and gentle nature leave a lasting impression. In the afternoon, explore more of Ol Pejeta’s diverse habitats—lion prides, large elephant herds, and rhinos grazing peacefully in the distance. A sundowner experience completes the day as the sky burns gold over Mount Kenya’s silhouette.
Day 07: Ol Pejeta → Lake Nakuru National Park
After breakfast, make your way into the Great Rift Valley. The descent offers breathtaking views before arriving at Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its pink-rimmed shores and thriving rhino population. After settling in, enjoy a relaxed afternoon game drive. Flamingos color the lake like brushstrokes, while buffaloes, waterbucks, and both black and white rhinos roam the acacia woodlands. Enjoy a calm evening overlooking the lake.
Day 08: Lake Nakuru → Masai Mara National Reserve
Depart after breakfast for the world-famous Masai Mara. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch, followed by your first Mara game drive. The reserve welcomes you with rolling savannahs, iconic acacia trees, and an abundance of wildlife. Lions often rest atop termite mounds, while elephants and giraffes wander gracefully across the plains. End the evening with a candlelit dinner listening to night sounds—hyenas whooping in the distance, owls calling softly.
Day 09: Full Day in the Masai Mara
Today is a classic safari day—with early morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara is big cat territory: lion prides, cheetahs scanning the plains, and leopards draped elegantly on tree branches. If traveling during migration season, you may witness dramatic river crossings and endless herds of wildebeest and zebras. Between drives, relax at your camp before another magical Mara sunset.
Day 10: Maasai Cultural Visit & Mara Exploration
Begin the day with an optional hot-air balloon safari (at extra cost), floating over golden grasslands at sunrise. Later, visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about age-old traditions, beadwork, and the warrior lifestyle. Return for an afternoon game drive or simply enjoy the tranquility of camp. Dinner is served under the stars, making your last night in the Mara unforgettable.
Day 11: Masai Mara → Lake Naivasha
Journey to Lake Naivasha—lush, peaceful, and home to an array of birdlife. After check-in and lunch, take a scenic boat ride across the lake, watching hippos bob in the water and fish eagles swoop overhead. Continue to Crescent Island for a gentle guided walking safari among giraffes, antelopes, and zebras. The day ends with a quiet lakeside evening, perfect for relaxation.
Day 12: Lake Naivasha → Amboseli National Park
Travel south to Amboseli, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. Your afternoon game drive reveals the park’s signature beauty—herds of elephants moving slowly against the dramatic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. As the sun sets, the mountain glows pastel shades of pink and gold, creating some of the most iconic safari photography moments.
Day 13: Amboseli → Tsavo West National Park
After sunrise photography or a morning game drive, head toward Tsavo West. This park offers completely different scenery—volcanic cliffs, ancient lava flows, and lush springs. Visit Mzima Springs to see hippos in crystal-clear waters and explore the park’s rugged terrain during your afternoon drive. Nightfall in Tsavo is deep, quiet, and captivating.
Day 14: Tsavo West → Tsavo East → Nairobi
Start early with a drive into neighboring Tsavo East, Kenya’s largest and oldest national park. This land of vast horizons is known for red-coated elephants, shaped by centuries of dust and sun. Explore highlights such as the Aruba Dam and sweeping savannahs before exiting the park in the afternoon and driving back to Nairobi.
Your journey ends with arrival in the city—your heart full, your mind clear, and your soul enriched by the power of slow travel.
