MORNING OR AFTERNOON

Your driver will pick you up from your hotel and drive to the Coffee Farm. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by the friendly farm guides and given an introduction to the farm’s history, its role in Kenya’s coffee industry, and the journey of coffee from bean to cup.

COFFEE NURSERY & PLANTATION WALK

The tour will with a walk through the coffee nursery, where young coffee plants are nurtured before being transplanted into the main fields. You will then stroll through the well-maintained plantation, learning about different coffee varieties, sustainable farming methods, and how altitude and climate influence coffee quality.

HARVESTING & PROCESSING DEMONSTRATION

Depending on the season, you may witness skilled workers handpicking ripe, red coffee cherries. The tour continues to the wet mill, where cherries are pulped, fermented, washed, and dried. You will gain some insights into the intricate process of coffee grading and sorting.

DRY MILL & ROASTING SECTION

Next, you will explore the dry mill, where parchment coffee is hulled, polished, and sorted. You will also get a behind-the-scenes look at coffee roasting, learning how different roast levels impact flavor and aroma.

COFFEE TASTING (CUPPING SESSION)

A highlight of the tour is the coffee cupping experience, where you taste freshly brewed coffee. Guides explain how to assess acidity, body, flavor, and aroma, helping you develop a deeper appreciation for specialty coffee.

SOUVENIR SHOP

Before concluding the tour, you can purchase freshly roasted coffee beans or grounds as souvenirs.
