Day 01: Nairobi to Masai Mara | Afternoon Game Drive
Your safari begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi through the Great Rift Valley to the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at your lodge or camp in time for lunch, followed by your first afternoon game drive. Search for elephants, lions, giraffes, and more as the sun sets over the vast savannah. Return for dinner and a restful evening in the wild.
DAY 02: EXPLORING MASAI MARA NATIONAL
After breakfast, head to the Mara River again with hopes of seeing the wildebeest crossing. If you have seen the crossing yesterday, you can choose to return to the river or go around the Mara in search of the remaining Big 5 you have not spotted. Again, you will have picnic lunch in the reserve as you scale the Mara beauty.
Return to the camp before dusk for accommodation.
Day 03: Masai Mara | Full-Day Game Drives & Nature Walk
Enjoy a full day immersed in the wildlife-rich plains of Masai Mara. Set out for early morning and afternoon game drives with opportunities to spot the Big Five and witness dramatic predator-prey moments. Midday, enjoy lunch and relaxation at camp. Later, take a guided nature walk with a local Maasai guide to learn about the Mara’s flora, fauna, and traditional bush skills. Overnight at your lodge or camp.
Day 04: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru | Morning Maasai Village Visit & Afternoon Game Drive
After an early breakfast, visit a nearby Maasai village for an insightful cultural interaction. Learn about Maasai traditions, family life, and local crafts. Then, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving in time for a late lunch and afternoon game drive. The park is famed for its vast flocks of flamingos, endangered rhinos, and rich birdlife. Enjoy birdwatching around the alkaline lake and spot buffaloes, zebras, and elusive leopards. Overnight at your camp orlodge.
Day 05: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha | Boat Safari, Walking Tour & Cycling Adventure
After breakfast, continue to Lake Naivasha, a freshwater lake known for its hippos and birdlife. Take a peaceful boat ride across the lake, then enjoy a walking safari on Crescent Island among zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. In the afternoon, head to Hell’s Gate National Park for a cycling adventure through dramatic gorges and geothermal cliffs. Spend the evening at a lakeside lodge or resort.
Day 06: Naivasha to Amboseli National Park | Scenic Drive & Evening Leisure
Travel south through the Great Rift Valley toward Amboseli National Park. Arrive at your lodge or camp with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon or a short sunset game drive if time permits. Dinner and overnight at your camp/lodge.
Day 07: Amboseli | Full-Day Game Drive & Guided Bush Walk
Spend the day exploring Amboseli’s iconic landscapes, with game drives offering excellent chances to see elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and more backdropped by Africa’s highest peak. Later, join a ranger-led bush walk to learn about wildlife tracks, native plants, and the fragile ecosystem. Return to camp for your final dinner in the wild.
Day 08: Amboseli to Nairobi | Morning Visit to Big Life Foundation & Return Journey
On your final morning, visit the Big Life Foundation to learn about Amboseli’s pioneering community-led conservation efforts. See firsthand how rangers work to protect wildlife and foster peaceful coexistence with local communities. After the visit, begin your journey back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon for drop-off or onward travel.
